Iron Chef has nothing on Hamilton’s Battledish.

Here, there’s attitude.

This weekend, the eight participating chefs in Battledish will be strutting tall and talking up the dishes they’ll be preparing for the big showdown, which takes place Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. And you have a chance to decide the winner.

Beyond an individual chef working on his or her home turf, the real winner on the day will be kids.

All proceeds from Hamilton Battledish go to Tastebuds: Student Nutritional Collaborative, an organization providing children with healthy breakfasts and lunches as well as education on nutrition.

Battledish is a worldwide competition among chefs. In this initial round, Hamilton’s team will be confronting chefs from Kingston and American teams from Rochester, Winston-Salem NC, Columbus OH., San Diego, Portland OR and Oakland CA.

Team Hamilton will consist of chefs from the Locke Street dining strip going head to head for titles such as most creative, most delicious, most authentic, best modern and best cocktail.
