Application Process
When applying to the SPRC your application package must include a cover letter and resume. Applications will then undergo the following process:
- Application Prescreening
- Skills Testing
- Interview
- Reference Check
- Employment Offer
SPRC accepts resumes year-round. Applications may be submitted by e-mail (jobs@sprc.hamilton.on.ca), fax or mail. Please choose only one method. No phone calls.

VOLUNTEER
As an SPRC volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to support Social Planners throughout the year on a project. When applying for a volunteer position, applicants will undergo the following process:
- Determine what priority area(s) interest you the most:
- Equity and Inclusion
- Healthy Development of Children and Youth
- Housing and Homelessness
- Poverty Elimination
- Submit your resume to SPRC by e-mail (sprc@sprc.hamilton.onc.ca), mail or fax along with a brief statement that includes which priority area(s) you have chosen and availability schedule.
- If successful the applicant will be contacted for an interview.
The length of the volunteer opportunity depends on the project duration
